In December of 2004, Michael and Jonathan Grooms visited this Children's Home for the very first time. It is located within a small farming village. When Michael and Jonathan arrived, many of the boys in this home had no shirts on their back, nor shoes to put on their feet. They were so poor that they had only been able to eat one meal of white rice for lunch each day. In the morning, they were given the water that was left over from the pot that the rice was cooked in the day before. This allowed them some nutrients to get through the morning hours before their lunch. Because of sponsors like you, the children all have new clothes, and are also being fed 3 meals per day. We are very thankful for this. Thank you!!

The children are living in a small church building that the community recently built. They sleep on the floor of this church building. Each child owns a small suitcase, which looks like a “tool box”. They keep in their suitcase their school supplies and any personal items they may own. They keep their plate and cup that they eat and drink from each day on top of their suitcase.

There is a piece of land for sale just a short walk from the church building. It is in a beautiful location with mountains in the back drop.

The caretaker of this Children’s home is the family of Prem Kumar and Shobha Rani. His two children are Priyanka and Nathan Stephen (named after Jonathan’s two brothers). They love each of these children with all their heart and take very special care of them.
