Gonegandla
The Gonegandla Children’s Home is located a couple of hundred miles south of Hyderabad. A team went to this home for the first time in January of 2004. The children live in a rented home and are looking forward to building a new home in the near future on the new property that God has provided for them.
John Mark and his wife, Martha, are the main caretakers of the children in this home. This Children’s Home was started because of their love for children. John was asked to help take care of three children who did not have anyone to love or care for them. He gladly took these children in his home as if they were his own. Soon after this other children were brought to this home to be cared for. John Mark could not turn these precious children away so they now have around 30 children they care for on a daily basis. These children sleep in very small area, smaller than the size of a usual bedroom here in states. The boys sleep in one room and the girls sleep in another.
